Recently Kathy from strikeabalance.net managed a deep and very personal interview with Steve Lukather. At the interviews section we made some striking quotes. Luke: "I mean we have survived: death, drugs, marriages, divorce, money stolen - accountants ripping us off, just you know beaten up by the press, getting older, happiness, elation, awards; all the shit you know, we’ve been through it all. We still love each other, yeah we fight sometimes, not much."

After a short introduction and a cool explanation of the techniques behind the site by Kayb Slagman, Lukather launched the site. After the launch he did an overwelming unplugged set with a couple of songs he hardly played live before (Hate everything about you, Swear your love, Extinction blues, Hero with a 1,000 eyes, The gift of faith, The road goes on, Look out for angels and The Christmas song). Later on we'll add some cool pictures from the entire party. It was a blast for us to see how everybody enjoyed this afternoon. Thanks to everyone who participated in this project.

Anyone who thinks, says or writes that the guys in Toto are a bunch of wussies needs to plop their asses in front of this DVD for 103 minutes and change their minds. It won’t take long, believe me.
  6. David B. - Steve Lukather

    - By Arend, Aug 5, 2003 12:00 AM

Lukather: "When the record companies got all hip to ProTools, they went fuck it, we'll give you $50K and whatever you don't spend, you can keep. Which makes people greedy. So then they don't want to pay the "A" session guys. So they'll get some kid who has good ideas but who can't necessarily execute them well. And it doesn't matter because they can fix it all. It's a different era, man. The session scene is dead. It doesn't exist!"
